                Luftwaffe M43 cap with trapezoid

Love these caps! Added another one to the collection, a late war type with trapezoid. It has the same (Minden) maker as the lightweight M43 shown above.

I don't know how many Luftwaffe M43's I will 'need', but something tells me it will never be enough....

Great cap looks like they used an army cockade
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

I think that may be the color balance on Gustav's camera Lenny.

                            Wonderful caps Gustav and Paul!

Grantsmil, that blue cotton cap is finest of this type I've ever seen, a most desirable cap! Can we see the interior?

                            Thanks for posting these gentlemen,
                            John

                              Blue cotton cap

The interior is lined with lighter weight blue cotton. There is no sweatband. The makers marks are particularly indistinct, and the cap is somewhat grubby. The size is marked 57 and the maker's stamp consists of three lines, longest on top and shortest on bottom. I can't make out much except for the first two letters of the last line, being BR.... or even BRE.....

Thanks Grant, tis nice and sunny there. Your cap is intriguing, I like the look of the grommets, looking forward to Gustav's thoughts on it.
