Single button Luft caps are alot harder to find , so yes !, you would place it in a rarer category.

He is one from my collection...a single button Luft Bergmutze with the similar bakerlite button and insignia application.

Introduction date of the M-43

Can anyone tell me the date of the introduction of this type of hat?

The reason I ask is I have seen a photograph said to be taken Xmas 1942, and it appears some soldiers have this style of cap.
