How many havent watched the hoards that flock to thier favorite experts at every show with everything they pick up..some have huge collections, hoards of items..but still need opinions about what they buy from thier favorite Gurus.
    Whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Well,
I did examine all the threads relative to panzer tunics and I have found in many ocasion my feelings in line with Mr. Singer comments.
It's a pity it is not possible to have some more explanation sometime, but in more than one ocasion I was able "to learn".
So I hope it will be possible to hear again from him, since I have a lot to understand.

I like his catchphrase - Very entertaining - he knows his onions as we say here in the Area west of London.

I entertain no doubts that Mr Singer knows his onions.

              hello,

              for what i've seen,
Mr Singer's opinion is always precious,
because you need to let your brain work to be able to understand exactly what is behind his (sometime short) words.

for me, this character is far away from a "guru" behaviour.

a very respectable man for that.

              regards
              derka

                The Singer Factor

Remember that old saying, "Once I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken"?? I think that applies to Mr Singer. I have known him for many years and never known him to be wrong on a piece of cloth. In fact, I dub him "man of the cloth" with all due respect, and feel priveleged to call him friend. If you want an unbiased, honest, and worthy opinion, this is where you go.

                Respectfully,
                tvg

If I posted an item for review, the last thing I would want to see is...
                  "I could entertain a doubt"

                    Skorzeny !

Singer is top pajamas in the world of Third Reich cloth. His personal dress I have heard about, but not yet seen. Apparently he is somewhat of a sharp card and uses a Viennese tailor that is flown in regularly to drape him in the latest fashions from Europe. Rumor has it that he is Skorzeny's son !

                      Bn

I had a chance to meet Bryon at last year's SOS (06) and I can assure those members who have not had the privilege of meeting him, that he is quite the gentleman. When I met him, he had a magnifying glass at his eye examining pioneer tress on a Panzer wrapper for a friend and Forum member. How appropriate, but coincidental I am sure! He then obligingly looked through a bag of hats I had purchased at the show
(all of which met with his approval I will happily add).<O></O>
Byron is a nice guy who is willing to help a fellow collector out. He is direct and to the point and does not gloss over the problems he may see with an item, often much to the chagrin of the owner of that item. He'll give you his honest opinion and not just tell you what you want to hear and that is about as much as anyone can ask.
                      <O</O

Just an honest collector with nothing to gain from going out on a limb and "telling it like it is".
                      <O</O

                          Yes He Does!

IMHO Mr. Singer knows how to discern an original from a bogus Panzer wrapper better than anyone on the planet! He is not only the "Go to man" but an asset to this forum and an asset to this hobby.
Thank you Byron, Hang in there and keep up the good work!

                          Best Regards,
                          Mike

Bryon has a great knowledge in his field. Any criticism leveled at him would likely be either by a newbie know-it-all or one who likes to perpetuate the selling of items from the era of 4th Reich. #1

Where is the moderator for this forum?

Is the forum moderator asleep again?

What is the purpose of even allowing such a poll?

Doesn't this fall under the definition of flamming?

These forums should be NOT be about "personalities" but discussing militaria, history and the hobby in general.

                              Take your personal business elsewhere.

BN Singer is an invaluable member of this forum.
