Rob I agree..people in these forums form odd allegiances with people who lend an experienced opinion..to the point almost reminding me of a cult following..afterward anyone who questions these people gets lambasted, ridiculed and scorned. Funny how if an unknown post something it is automaticaly assumed they dont know anything and are open to being fragged and to death by legions of "I need an opinion" followers when he questions the opinion of the Forum Gurus.

How many havent watched the hoards that flock to thier favorite experts at every show with everything they pick up..some have huge collections, hoards of items..but still need opinions about what they buy from thier favorite Gurus.

Rob, Mike meant this to be entertaining as well. It is not about challenging Bryon's integrity and experience.

The thing that most admire about Mr BN is that he does not consider himself to be an expert. That is very telling about his character.

Must we always dump the baggage and drama on threads meant to be entertaining?

Ok - I couldn't get a "tone of voice" one way or another so that is why I tried to keep my post "neutral" in tone as well.

Hey - I don't know "who's on who's side" here here... I have a hard enough time keeping track of all the fakes floating around

            Happy New Year,

John, don't you want to be my guru? My last guru passed away from old age 13 days ago, so I have an opening. Jacques

I do want it so...can I please be the Guru.

Gary8 was belittled by a member in another thread because he didnt agree with the Guru thats why I posted what I did..some things are in fun at the expense of others and the elite could care less becaue they just go along for the hay ride. ....

I consider myself lucky in knowing Bryon personally. He "walked me through" the purchase of my only Panzer wrap (and trousers). He is very conservative to the point he might "entertain doubts" about some things that differ from total "textbook". Thus, while he may take a "pass" on some possibly legitimate items, I sincerely doubt there is anything in his extensive collection that is not 110% original. He has been one of my few "mentors" in this hobby and I am in his debt. Happy New Year, Bryon and all forum members! See ya at the SOS!

Mr. Davis, where's the "button" for "just a big mouthed, blow hard" I think that would be my vote!

                          B.N. Singer

                          Isn't he a "black wrapper"?

Rumor has it that he wears a Panzerkampfabzeichen IV Stufe as a "Bling". I don't know if the 100 stands for his age though...

I thought he was a DAK vet. Your concise observations and humor
have taught me alot on this forum...perhaps a poll on other members knowledge would be helpful (or harmful) for all.

Mr Singers comments are one of the best reasons to participate in this forum.

                            Highest regards sir.

Mr. Singer is a very knowledgeable collector with a great eye for detail. A truly wonderful asset to the forum. We've agreed to disagree on certain items, but I take all his comments seriousily. Unfortunately some items aren't so easy to determine as good or bad. At some point every collector must weigh the comments, facts etc and make his own decision. WR and a Happy New Year Jim

I agree most whole heartedly that Mr Singer is a great asset to this forum and commands much respect, from me and other collectors, but no one is infallible and we all get it wrong sometimes.
