No offense to the seller who honestly claims to have found it in a theatrical fund and having restored it and therefore does not properly state that it is authentic. My respect for his sincerity

Please note the common feature of the half-moon stirndruckfrei, even if the sweatshield bears a different logo.
For a historical insight, RUF Rudolf, kürschnermeister, Pelzwaren, Hüte, Mützen, Herrenartikel, Bahnhofstr. 37 (at the corner with Futterstrasse) and home in Grossherzog-Friedrichstr. 35, from the 1934-35 Saarbrücken adressbuch:

In the time of National Socialism, Bahnhofstraße received the name Adolf-Hitler-Straße. According to a decree by the Reich Ministry of the Interior on the "Principles of the Road Classification" of July 1933, the most important road should be named after the "Führer" in every city indeed. This statement was also valid in Saarland from 1935 onwards. Almost all the municipalities converted their main streets in Adolf-Hitler streets. In Saarbrücken the Bahnhofstraße was consequently affected from this naming change:

So RUF found himself in A.H. Straße no. 48, that in WW2 was devastated almost completely from air raids, including his shop:

The old name Bahnhofstraße was restored by the French occupiers immediately after the end of the war.

In general, what would be the defining characteristics of a Janke repro?
Newbie here,
I've just browsed the thread and have truly been amazed at the vast variety of caps shown here. I'd just like to know what would be the defining characteristics of a Janke repro (or other repro manufacturers) and your opinions on these caps.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. What should be the correct tinge/colour of a Heer peaked cap?
Should it be a more greenish
(like here: https://www.wehrmacht.es/5954/wehrma...r-cap-erel.jpg)
or greyish colour?
(shown here: http://www.totls.com/ARMY%20OFFZ%20I...ISOR%20CAP.jpg)
(I do know that they are repros, but they're just examples of the different colours)
Thanks again.
