      visor cap

      Hello,
I have been monitoring the responses regarding a visor cap which seems to have most of you voting on its being either a forestry cap or a land customs visor. Is it possible that this particular example is a Wehrmacht Administration Officers cap? The wreath and eagle seem to work along those lines. The one thing that puzzles me is the fact that the chin cord is a silver bullion with a touch of green. That would back up the land customs theory. Please let me know if anyone has additional thoughts, it is an interesting topic.

This kind of reminds me of a similar, recent discussion:

LOL, Dave I have been itching to razz you for a while now.

The only problem with the Admin theory is Admin. had the exact same cap band as any other Heer cap. Now Forestry and Customs had the lighter green bands.

Good eye, I did not see that. You are correct!

As far as I'm concerned, this is an out-and-out forestry cap - notice the lack of a bottom piping on the cap band; the green of the body and band are both unmistakeably forestry. In addition, Erel made Forestry caps, with these types of leather visors.

Good eye. That wasn't shown in any of the first pictures...it can only be seen when looking closely at post #7. The cap that was discussed earlier in the link I posted does have bottom piping, however.
