It's a new one on me. Does not look like any R.S. that I've ever seen before.

The same thought went through my head when looking at the pictures. But I did not dare to pronounce it because it is so perfectly done. I've never seen anything like it before. It seems as if a denazified buckle has been completely redesigned here. Very impressive.

I repeat, It was dug up (nothing was done with it, it was not denazified).

As I said, details all look very good. But the design doesn't match the manufacturer's well-known patterns. I have no explanation ...

Waiting for SonicS answer, here's another detail visible on eagle by reverse and disappeared by obverse.

So, it's obvious someone worked on standard 822/38 design, leaving it unmodified by reverse and working only on obverse.

Looking at front buckle the whole design has been modified (eagle body, motto letters, swastika, background pebbling, ecc.…).

Sure...that's possible, if you consider the buckle an original one actually dug out…….but few details lead me to believe it's not a period piece.
