Came across this SA Buckle and belt in a antique shop. I believe these SA buckles with Sonnenrad - Swastika were the 1st Model. I've never handled one before, could members say if they see any issues with it. I forgot to take any measurements, reading through various literature size should be 63mm x 47mm

Yes, original SA buckle.
But shape of sawstika has nothing to do with 1., 2. or 3. model. They were all sold at the same time and it was at the SA mans pleasure what he put on his belly.

The description 1st, 2nd, 3rd model, I did look in Deutsche Koppelschlösser 1919 - 1945 handbook from Lothar Bichlmaier & Lothar Hartung - its their description SA 1. Model with Sonnenrad - in handbook is also - SA 2. Model with sitting swastika - SA 3. Model with standing swastika all three forms were produced in 1936.Comment

You can find examples of all three swastika styles with the various UE and RZM codes to show all three were produced in roughly the same time period. There is a few hundred variations of SA/NSKK buckles.

Take just a look into a period Assmann sales catalogue. There you can see two variants at the same time.
