    Green with envy

Here is Gene's green web belt. Very nice and absolutely uncommon.

Cool belt.....I like the odd web gear too. I have a belt like that with the fittings still painted green. Also have several green Luft buckles with green web tabs. Maybe we should start a post with webbed Luftwaffe tropical buckles.

            Willi,
Scroll down and read posts under "Which Branch...". You will find some of your LW webbed buckles.

            Enjoy.

Jean, the pictures were no longer there. Not to worry though, I have green buckles with green webbed tabs, a bluegray buckle with bluegray webbed tab, an olive buckle with green webbed tab and a silver painted steel one with tab web tab...all are dated in '41 or '42. Am about to pick up a bluegray buckle with a green tab......

              Thanks,

              Willi

Does anyone know why those excellent photos were removed from the other thread ? Anyway having those here is way better since they are under a much more appropriate thread, but I would like to know what happened.

Jean Pierre, I accidentally deleted them when I was making room for a few other photos, including the one at the top of this thread! Sorry. I forgot to go back in and reload them. I'll take care of it.

Very cool Gene! Thanks.....we have similiar tastes... The only one I have that you do not have pictured is the olive tropical one with green web tab. Other than Luft tan/olive tropical ones with leather tabs tropical ones.

                          Willi,
Could you post a pic or two of your olive buckle with green web tab? I've never seen such a piece. Anyone else with cool Luftwaffe buckles?

                            Gene,

Not the best pics, but here is a quick shot of some. Have the white/tan one that you have, and am about to trade one of my extra green and green tab ones for a bluegray buckle with green web tab.

I just noticed these pics Willi. Excellent buckles! Marc, notice that my green web tab buckle has an HA42 maker mark. Have you seen Hermann Aurich buckles marked like this? I'm used to their other symbol.
