Crank catch buckles

Hello all,
I have a steel buckle with this style catch but it is painted dark blue without any insignia or makers mark. I assumed it was a postwar buckle for some official use or other. Any ideas?

The maker is indeed M4/42 and the ones Assmann made are steel but with the classic crank catch.

Hi Chris, I have seen the buckle you are talking about on Ebay. I was supposed to win it but the seller has sent it to someone else while I paid for it. You???
I don’t know what it is. Maybe grounded? I would like some pictures if posible.

Thankyou for the images, although am I right in thinking that the buckle has actually a nickle silver finish and that the golden copper effect is only digital photograph colour temperature related.
An eccentric buckle by the crank catch and positioning of the RZM mark, together with the makers code.
A clean and non marked inner leading edge of the buckle here and as such, an obvious place to very securely affix the RZM label, rather than loosely attaching to the claw bar.
Great buckle.
Regards,
David
