Opinions on this LW belt and buckle!

    Hello friends!

Is this LW buckle an early type? No markings inside. It looks very original for me! And the belt are well used! Value?

    Thank you!

          Christen,
From the front the buckle looks good....but there are a couple features on the back side that I haven't seen before on original buckles....first off the fold along the leading edge is unique, and the small slot for the "hook" end of the belt is also much differant than any other Luftwaffe buckle I've seen before.....

I haven't seen these features on any other buckle or illustrated in any referance book or on any dealers web site before....so unless you have a unique variation (possible, but not likey) I'd be very careful. The belt looks o.k., but that means nothing since the buckle slides on.

Possibly Norwegien-made variant....new one on me, if it is.....
If original, being well used the value would be around $90./120.00 US (75/100EU). I have my doubts, however. Would be nothing for me unless a vet. buy!

              Christen,
Taking a 2nd look, the "slot" for the belt hook has been "modified", so that no longer bothers me.....I still don't recall seeing a buckle with the edge fold-
but being this is a very early buckle I have less reservations...think it may be o.k. after all!

I retract my original "Not for me".....I think it's o.k. after all!
