                Bad to the bone.
Makers # is bullcrap. Buckle numbers start with an M4/..... ???????? GZM ????????
Sorry bird on it. Has all of the red flags for a fake buckle. Even if the number were an M4 there is no recorded maker with a number 131. Never existed. No value as far as I am concerned. Sorry.

Hi all, I find this interesting and have been doing alot of reading of old threads about it, the one below and a couple of others

                        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&highlight=GZM

I am going to keep an open mind about this buckle for now, the box looks bad, lacks detail but some aspects of the buckle to me look like they could be original, this is just my opinion and if some of the advanced SS collectors have evidence that it is indeed a fake then so be it have a nice day yawl

Ben, this is original buckle. I know that because I have buckle with the same marking GZM. I dug it out of the ground two years ago. Here are photos:

                            Hello Andrzej,

CONGRATULATION! Great find! That's a pity that the buckle has been cleaned.
I have a couple of GZM buckles and greater part I know where dug up in Gdansk area. Can you tell me where your buckle comes from?

                            Thank you,
                            Blazej

Hi Andrzej and welcome to the forum, thanks for the pics, very very interesting, does any other members own one of these buckles and know of where it came from? It would be interesting to try and build a profile and see where they came from? Could you post pics if you have?
