              A super find!!

Congratulations. I posted some time ago the pics of a buckle similar to this one found by a friend of mine on the field. I could not manage to get it yet. he is keeping it allthough he is not collecting SS or buckles at all...

I would rather use "scarce buckle" or "very scarce buckle" if we consider the condition since it is a scarce SS buckle to find, scarcer its very nice condition. Personnaly I do not know a single one in mint condition. Most of the others I know are like this one: worn but without excess. But the buckle itself is not one of the rarer to find

IMO .. a very nice buckle.. but who could be the maker?

I mean, it could be the same design like the 822er alloy buckles.

                        Great buckle!! Very very nice!

In my eyes a Richard Sieper production, no doubt...

                          Hello Christian,

not definitively confirmed, but many features lead towards that maker

One piece Police buckles made by R.Sieper are indeed looking the exact same. It is also a long while we are thinking maker 822 was Richard Sieper. And we know the maker of one pieces zinc SS buckles marked 822/42 is also the maker of those aluminum ones. So, indeed, odds are really good. But we still have to find the evidence which most likely will come with an unique feature common to all.

                              Hi all,

I know it's not confirmed. But I know only two makers who produced die casted aluminium buckles, Sieper & Schröder. It looks not like a Wilhelm Schröder production but it has many features from the Luftwaffen and the police buckle by Sieper.
So, there are only two possibilities 1.It is Richard Sieper or 2.A mystery maker who produced no other aluminium die casted buckle except a very few SS buckles (using probably a Sieper tool).
