      Rather like the previously mentioned SA, I do not for the moment have access to the two DJ's. As soon as I do however, I will check the claws.

          Hello gents,
          I also believe that this is a period applied mark, possibly after initial manufacturing while still at the makers facility. We know of Assmann examples that also appear this way where additional marks have been added to possibly satisfy a new RZM regulation. Here is a DJ by the same maker with the same mark.. A little hard to see, but there none the less.

            Whilst I was in England for Christmas 2008, peculiar circumstances prevented myself having access to my belt buckle collection. I have not forgotten your request and it is "on my list" of buckles review when the collection joins me in the Kingdom of Bahrain this year.

                Could you check on your friend's (the marked one with tag) if one prong bears on the inside part the exact same marks as shown in Ric's #20 photo? If "yes" post a photo of it?
