I have a question on you. According to a regulation from 1938 a new catch was introduced for the police belts.
All buckles from the maker "Dransfeld" had to be send to the Polizei-Beschaffungsamt for rework. I assume the belt catch doesn't fit the buckle catch.

Have you ever seen such a reworked buckle?

    Thanks in advance
    Christian
    Hi Christian,

No, I don't recall seeing a rework police buckle by Dransfeld, although this maker is seldom encountered when it comes to police buckles. I've only observed a couple of examples, one being a worn WSP and the other was a recent acquisition (pictured below).

            Dave,

SUPER collection of Police and Fire buckles. I too, have a weak spot for these type buckles which I will show a few different makers here in a moment.

            Christian,

Are you referring to the catch on the belt used for Police? Did the the molded catch on the buckle have to be widened for the belt catch to be used? Can you share this regulation with us?

As you know, the only catch that would work with a proper police belt would be the aluminum molded catch or the molded white metal buckle. A two piece buckle would not work with a Police belt because of the half-moon catch.
