          Many Thanks for the pictures JP. It has helped a good deal...........The SS buckles are by far the best looking too me. How much would a nice leather belt for officers be in todays market.......Thanks Jimmy

            Hello Jimmy Another member found a Fire Defense officers belt and used it with a nickel SS officers buckle. It's black leather and works fine and and you can usually fined a set for 100-125 dollars. A lot of people don't trust SS marked belts.

            I would like to thank JP for posting the photos. I didn't know there was a type 1 and 2. It was nice to know I own the rarer type 1.

                Unfortunately you have a Type 2 but not a Type 1. Look at the marking: Type 1 has four small hallmarks, the same as found on earliest 36/37's and 36/38's.
                Type 2 has four large hallmarks, the same as found on latest 36/40's.
                The outer ring surrounding those four hallmarks can be found on any Type, been 1 or 2. But it is indeed visible more often on Type 1's and scarcer on Type 2's.

                  Thanks klr...............Do you or anyone else by chance know where I can find such a belt with an Aluminum set up. I have a nice Brocade on the way but I would like too display both types........Thanks for the book suggestions, I have Angolias book on the way, still looking for the other one.............Regards Jimmy
