I guess $20 to pay for been able to post photos in this Forum (and becoming association member) is minimal to secure any SS buckle purchase.

Perhaps I can be of more help than the previous respondent.

Send the images to my private email as davidnorth@btinternet.com and I will and with pleasure, post the buckle on your behalf for the forums kind considerations.

        Regards,

        David

thankyou David for posting the fotos!!!! ill organise memership in the next days.and i also forgot to mention the swastika has been stamped back in and if it is original is there a way to stop the rust.i was thinking of penatrol(rust stopper)but did not know if this would detract from value??if its a repro i will deffinatly do this but what do you experts use to stop rust without damaging paint and detracting value??thanks andreas

By the way Reness, your buckle is an original unmarked Overhoff.

thanks for your comment jean.im very happy now and david, thanks for taking the time posting fotos. ill organise membership.im very happy to be part of this forum as the knowlede that one learns here is invaluable but as everyone knows you have to try before one buys(if you can...)as alot of forums are not friendly to beginners/learners in this collecting field and some are just about arguing..i believe this forum is not too bad.THANKS

                        Hi Andreas

I use a little bit Ballistol to avoid further corrosion on my steel buckles.

                        Best regards,

                        Guido

                            question please.
when looking at the back of the last buckle said to be an overhoff. they are a stamped steel buckle. is it just my eyes that makes the right side of the inner wreath close to the swastica, look raised on the right side, with no detail, but stamped in on the left? and a small flaw in the right side outer rope stamping ? i have had an aluminum overhoff, and still have one in nickle. there detail is very nice, front and back. so may be its just my eyes ?

Hi dave,i examined the buckle and your right.im sure this is because the swastika was crudly "stamped back in" a sort of way of entnazifing buckles without drilling the swastica out or grinding it off if you didnt have the tools...i have 2 other alu overhoffs(and waiting on another)and ive noticed that the alu ones are stamped deeper which makes it look like more detail..??? i think this is because aluminium is a softer metal...but this steel buckle is exactly like my alu overhoff buckles except for the fact that the swastika was stamped back in(from an angle as it seems...)...im just learning so id be happy to hear other opinions...best regards Andreas ps.i just recieved the ss belt that i bought and it looks great....the markings are very faint but good..
