SS EM/NCO Buckle

Greetings all,

Can someone give me an opinion on this buckle? I'm mostly a headgear/tunic collector and not too up on SS buckles. It is said to have come out of a box of vet items but I don't have a good feeling about it. Can't find any photos of real ones that match it. Any help appreciated.

You will be hard pressed to find any images of genuine SS buckles to match this one, as it is an early fake.

By coincidence, the same "type" having been recently isolated within the forum.
