Hello to all ; something more......................

Maintenance on the field! - Poland 1939.

Interesting picture of the Polish campaign, the crew of this Pz Kw II solving a problem in the field; in the foreground a soldier with a MG-34 on a bipod and by his camouflaged jacket is a member of the SS-Verfügungstruppen. Another aspect to keep in mind is that the white cross was erased..........................................

A pair of Pz Kw II with a particular white cross (painted in the field); as seen, the size was reduced and removed from the center of the turret. Besides a much smaller cross was painted on the original on the sides of it .................................

More interesting is in this case is the black sidecap beeing worn during the Polish campaign.

As the Polish campaign goes on, the German armored crews were removing / modifying the traditional white cross as a sign of recognition. Here a Pz Kw II of PR 7 with a thin white cross in front of the turret and a darker cross on the side......................................
