    SDKFZ 250/9 Ausf.B restoration

    Hello,
I purchased a SDKFZ 250 ausf.B last year, and im in the process of restoring it. Im looking for more parts, original or reproduction. I still need a few better condition inner road wheels, track, 90 degree steering box, water pump, T.Z.F.3a scope etc. I have the armor from about the cab forward, missing the rear armor and front nose plate. I can reproduce it, but if there are some originals out there I would prefer that. Also need a ausf.B rear door, and other stuff. Please email me with anything you might have for sale for this vehicle. I have a D7 rear support for trade or sale as well, and an unissued Pak 36 scope.

    Regards,
    John

              Hello,
Ive seen the surviving 250 pdf, this vehicle is not on it. I will post some photos soon, we have a good deal of parts for it not in the pictures that I have found, but we still need alot more. Dont judge it by what you only see in the photos, there is alot more there. With all the rust, I soaked it for a good month in oil, and as a result only had to burn off one bolt on the entire vehicle. It has a riveted hull, original engine (adlerwerke), gearbox, etc. Some schrapnel hits here and there, and the rear was shortened one set of wheels. I have the missing hull pieces, but we will have to replace the flat part of the hull, the area under the engine is almost perfect, most likely due to all the oil that protected the steel over the years. We have an original 1930's rivet gun to do the replacement work. The armor is off another vehicle, but it bolts up perfectly. The engine sleeves will be replaced, but the head, valves, springs etc. were covered in a thick oil and are in perfect condition. The vehicle is pretty much disassembled at this time, but I do have some photos of it at the time of purchase. We will be restoring it as a 250/9 ausf.B. Im interested in any parts for sale, repro or original. I have to figure out how to post photos so bear with me.
              Thank you,
              John

My 1942 PAK 40 now sold. Just thought I'd throw it in there. It was a nice gun, complete, parts were not present for the photo.
