                    Kettenkrad etc

Congratulations Willem!! You have to be very happy that you KK is running. It also looks great! THat is a rare find the original seat also. Is it Braun or Gelb? It is hard to tell by the pictures. MIcahel from SKZ is making parts for me but if I can find parts already made all the better. Please let me know what you have and I will not have SKZ make it. In particular I need the Left rear return roller axle. I have 3 for the right side!

                      Kettenkrads etc.

Hey Phil yes sure. Please feel free to post the pics. My serial number is a made up one for the was either rusted away or removed. The whole top of my keeper KK has been replaced. I assume it was of the few KK still left in a junkyard somewhere. Probably on the bottom of a big pile of junk! Clive states that he saw it and deemed it a late vehicle. I am having reservations on that theory though. My Zerks or grease fittings for the swing arm supports come out at a 90 degree angle. I am no expert but I thought that this was indicative of earlier models? The angle on yours is more of a 45 degree, Which was an upgrade and it made the KK easier to lube up. Please give me your thoughts , or anyone else one this. I guess I am not convinced of the vintage of my vehicle. THere was a gentleman on the US East coast also by the name of Phil who had a registry started. His Website is not updated anymore though. Jim

Hey Phil. It might not be to next week or later till I get to pull her outside. I have an idea. Could you post these. Then In a couple weeks or so we can post some new ones. Hopefully then There will be a little bit of progress and we will see some advancement! The serial numbers I was never really interested and never wote them down. The one you have was mine. I had one that was supposedly a '42. I shoulda kept it probably. Especially cause I tend to like early war things lately.
