[QUOTE=Glowlight;6096796]Any idea who this is talking with Rossmann in the photo from post 39?

Anyone know where I can find the photos from posts 38 and 39 on the internet? Or if anyone has a copy? I would like to post some comparison photos to try and identify the officer but cant find these photos yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe it may be Hans Briegel. See http://www.ritterkreuztraeger-1939-4...iegel-Hans.htm

Thanks Leroy! That's what I felt as well. I wanted to find the photos of Rossmann and Briegel together and post them side by side with some other Briegel photos (including the nice shot you posted) for comparison. But I agree its Briegel with Rossmann in the two photos in this thread. If anyone knows of any other photos of Briegel or where I can locate the photos of Rossmann and Briegel on line please let me know. I cant seem to save the images from this thread correctly.

Also any idea what time frame or location during the war that the photos of Briegel and Rossmann were taken?

I`m searching for info about Rossmann Oakleaves presentation.
            Who presented the oakleaves (Eichenlaub)?
did he received his awards on the field ?

              Interesting thread!

What has Rossman added on his bincular on the below picture? A compass?

Thanks for that quick and detailed Response!

That is an interesting upgrade. Was that a common practice?
