Robert , you post gave me a laugh just when I needed one.
You have to wonder , what price and who will buy ?
(The limited build is bound to make them hugely expensive - did someone post a while back that someone tried to do this before and lost millions on th project ?)
Doing this on the pure speculation of selling sounds crazy.

They are not even attempting to reproduce the engine/driving system
The engine is a 10 cylinder Mercedes with 1000 hp, as ground drive is planned an automatic gearbox from ZF, electronics and hydraulics come also from Bosch and Rexroth. The Tiger will be weigh wide over 50 tonnes and has a maximum speed of 60 Km/h. The Tiger is to drive by wire, very simple only with 2 food-pedals and a joystick or optional with an electronic-steering-wheel.
So you get 50 tons of steel that looks a bit like a tiger, has fake weapons and bears no resemblnce in terms of driving or performance to the original. All for around a million Euro or so or whatever they decide to charge the stupid punter that goes for this.

I would sooner build a mock-up in plywood with a small truck engine. Just as repro, weighs far less and costs a fraction of the Steel one.

            Well

Yes, but this one will start everytime and could function as a daily driver. I want one.

When you drive a Tiger, other drivers get out of your way!

The ad says they can make the King Tiger too; I want one! Except it would be too wide for my street.

Soon we will see every WWII battlefield wanting one for display!

That's a great initiative! Finally real Tigers (from the outside at least) could perform in war movies, not the mostly awful lookalikes.

I figured this would happen sooner than later. The Germans have been producing a FW190 for 7 years now. Check this out:

Also here at Payne Field there is a group that is reproducing the ME262.

My guess is that the bovington Tiger very well may be used in a moive to help offset restoration costs. I would say the same for all the restored panthers, etc?

I think they are missing the point by not making the interior as accurate as possible. This can be done to good effect while still using new components.

Not likely. All owners of running WW2 era German heavies (Tiger, Panther, Jagdpanther) are extremely cautious while driving them mostly because of the fragile final drives. There are few (if any) spare parts for these beasts so if something brakes it more than often needs to be copied and remade.

Golly.....I'll have to check my Homeowner's Association rules and bylaws to see if they have any restrictions on parking a Tiger on my property.

                              WAIT!

If I were to get it painted with a good camoflauge pattern, they wouldn't even see it!
