Robert , you post gave me a laugh just when I needed one.
You have to wonder , what price and who will buy ?
(The limited build is bound to make them hugely expensive - did someone post a while back that someone tried to do this before and lost millions on th project ?)
Doing this on the pure speculation of selling sounds crazy.

They are not even attempting to reproduce the engine/driving system
The engine is a 10 cylinder Mercedes with 1000 hp, as ground drive is planned an automatic gearbox from ZF, electronics and hydraulics come also from Bosch and Rexroth. The Tiger will be weigh wide over 50 tonnes and has a maximum speed of 60 Km/h. The Tiger is to drive by wire, very simple only with 2 food-pedals and a joystick or optional with an electronic-steering-wheel.
I would sooner build a mock-up in plywood with a small truck engine. Just as repro, weighs far less and costs a fraction of the Steel one.

I figured this would happen sooner than later. The Germans have been producing a FW190 for 7 years now. Check this out:

Also here at Payne Field there is a group that is reproducing the ME262.
