    Panzer IV identification

Can you help me identifying this Panzer IV

on the back is written in German: German Panzer IV attacks, Russia

I enlarged the image and it looks like the tactical sign of the 10.PzDiv on the side: Ylll,

am I right in the assumption that this tank belonged to the commander of the 4.Kompanie, 10.PzDiv ?

    Any help is appreciated

    Regards, Hardy

I did some research, and it is my understanding that:

4 stands for the Kompanie 1 for the Zug (platoon) and the last 1 for the first tank in the Zug.

That would mean the tank 411 Ylll belonged to Leutnant Radmann the Zugf******252;hrer of the first Patoon 4. Kompanie Panzer Regiment 7, 10. Panzerdivision

        Hi Naxos!

You realize that this tank is a "Tauchpanzer"?

        Cheers

Hardy, great photo of 411. It is probable that the commander is Lt. Radmann, and it will always be interesting to find more evidence.

J******252;rgen, yes it is a Tauchpanzer and "412" was also a Tauch.
