    Absolutely amazing vehicles! Extremely convincing and the photos are great!

    You can find lots of data on sdkfz222 if you look in books geared towards scale model building. I prob have some 1/35 line-drawings (plans) in one of my books and you can absolutely find detailed photos of the interiors (from existing originals - photos of period vehicles, etc). If you need help with plans and photos PM with your email and I'll help you with info that I have.

      I just looked and I've got amazingly detailed reference info for the Sdkfz222 (period plans, scale line drawing, tons of photos, etc). I built the tamiya kit a couple years ago so I stocked up on reference material. I've got about 4 books specifically on this vehicle.

          Hi everyone, also new to this forum. It seems everyone is building a 221,222 or 223 these days. I also intend jumping on the band wagon and at this stage I am gathering as much info etc before committing. So far I have learnt that the L/R 110 coil sprung chassis is the most ideal to build on and so this is what I intend using. Obviously I am keen to liase with other builders, so falla's if you want to care and share , that would be great. B2U Dave

            Hi Flipside, would you be kind enough to advise on the best book title and source of line drawings/ dimentions etc to assist in the build of a 1 to 1 replica, cheers Dave (R12 krad)

              [quote=Gary Cain;3198812]The VW engined one.

              Interesting. I bought the VW engined one back around 2000 and brought it back to Tennesse. Sold it to a field police unit up in the Northeast in 2002 or so.

                Well at least it's good to know this one lasted for as long as it did.

                    Was it built on a Buss or Bettle chassi ?

                      If my memory serves me correct it was on a Bettle, it was not 100% in size.

                              You guys rule. When my job stops moving me around, I'll be jumping on the band wagon to build my own. I've given up on any tracked vehicles.
