Well now your asking things even i can´t answer.

That box is lovely but it doesn´t belong to the badge posted by you and the box doesn´t make the badge more L/53 anyway since it´s a L/52 WB and in a stunning condition on top of that. That mutch i do know.

      So 2 L/52 put in L/53 boxes ? Any evidence that it´s L/52 and not a sloppy L/53 ?

Yes, two L/52´s in L/53 boxes. Someone married the 2 WB´s with the 2 Boxes to make more money or cricumstances made it happen. But they are still not belonging together!

And as for evidence well you your self provided these pics all i did was to invert the colors and in that way enhanced the mm´s

These badges will not become L/53´s how mutch you try. Here´s the other pic you provided also just color inverted.

This damn scan I wish i never made it
Is there, except the scan with a "look-like" maker mark, more evidence ? How does a L/53 Tombak WB look like ?

Here is the maker mark of Winkler´s WB. Is that a L/53 oder L/52 mark ?

I made a new scan of the maker mark of my badge. You can see a 3 (green) and no 2 because there is no line (marked red), there is just a little dimple in the middle of the 3 which go down and make the 3 look like a 2 from different angles.

The Winkler looks like a L/53 from that crappy pic.
The scan made by you are a L/52 IMO.

                  Here´s a L/53 in tombak

So the Winkler WB looks like a L/53, right ? Which would be correct for the case. And it shares the same characteristics as my "look like" L/52. So if we assume that my badge is a L/53, like Winklers, one, which came in also in a L/53 case, it would match to the case. I think it is sure possible that the sloppy maker mark can be a L/53 mark and can look like L/52 in some angles.

Yes it looks like a L/53 but it isn´t, the pic is so crappy it looks like one. Hymmen used the raised makermark on their zink badges with the exception to the BWB they made.

IMO there are many L/52 badges in tombak out there that´s mistaken as L/53´s.

As far as i am conserned Hymmen used the makermark on the buntmetal GWB that i posted on their bunt badges and not a raised makermark.

I accept your opinion, but i have an other one My theory, based on a sloppy maker marked (which looks under circumstances like L/52) and supported with 2 badges with matching cases (from different sources) sounds - in my opinion - better than "it´s a L/52".
The only -for me- acceptable L/52 Tombak WBs are the type posted here:

                          Nevertheless thanks for the discussion

                            Hello,

I don't know much about WBs but all the Zimmermann medals I have seen that are marked L/52 never have a raised maker mark.

Here are three L/52 marked medals I have and all have non-raised maker marks.

I hope this helps the discussion.

                            Regards,
                            Stephen

First picture is a mm from a BWB.
