L/52 SWB in Tombak

this came to it´s new home today. It was sold as a L/53 but it´s actually the rarer L/52. It has lived a hard life.

In my opinion it´s a L/53, the mm just look like L/52

And why it´s not possible that the "L/52" mark could be a sloppy L/53 mark ?
