To understand, Weidmann produced dies for Descheler despite the fact that he did not manufacture insignia for the injured. In this case, what documents or repositories do you rely on?

With the multitude of pin systems, only the size of the helmet (beyond the variant with the bay) allows all these parts to be attached to Deschler?

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that Wiedmann produced dies for Deschler but did not produce the WB? What is your evidence to suggest this? Wiedmann is an official maker of the Wound Badge according to the Awards of the Heer book by Dietrich Maerz.

The reverse hardware setup (hinge, pin and catch) we see on many of these Wound Badges is also an excellent match to other Wiedmann products like their KVKS and EKs, etc. and not something we find on Deschler products.

So the list of manufacturers, for me, is expanding.

I also understand that there is not always the supporting documents, but very often the fruit of analysis and knowledge which allows inferences to be made badly.

We know there are black (and silver) woundbadges found with the L/10 (Deschler) marking. Are there any Wiedmann marked badges (or packages for that mather) known ?

The Deschler/Weidemann connections is generally the overall design, as far as I know no badges have yet to be found with a Weidermann makers mark

Ronny, you are amazing! That is a heck of alot of Deschler/Wiedmann WBs you have in your collection, with tons of variety. Thanks for taking the time to post all these, very helpful.

I really like the last 2, the oversized WBs. They both have a great look to them and both appear from the same die. Are the catches the same on both, or is there some variety there?

Tom, the catches are different, one L catch and one flat wire catch

Yes there is a "10" mark on one of them, not sure it is a makers mark or anything else
Or it might be a Förster & Barth connection.... or not. I have seen one more with the "10" mark
