That badge was sold for 36000 euro plus about 18% auction house expenses, or a total of 42500 euro.

That was 3,5 years ago and it was a cased example.

What I wanted to say is that if that same cased mint badge came up for sale at this very moment, we would probably be talking about 55.000 to 60.000 euro.

i m not your opinion, look on the dealer hompages, now the economy is not good and i think 30.000 euro its a good price.

in 3 years the price can not go on 55 - 60.000 euro.

Yes one wonders

the fact of the matter is these badges are almost demand inelastic - immune to economic downturns. Infact the antique business is flourishing with people wanting to acquire less tangible value assets with the uncertainty of cash. Diamond prices are at an all time high for example .Add to that veterans wanting alittle piece of their war history. Add to that the media hype around the bomb plot, in recent movies and documentaries.

Anyway, I dont know whether this has been brought up in another thread, but it may be of interest to researchers of this topic. The late Bill Stump mentioned a certain "Binner" under the title "the search for the missing receipient." A photo shows Hitler apparantly also greeting this person at the hospital and the name comes from examining the chalk board above his head. There is speculation he was the stenographer etc in the room

I have never purchased anything from there so I cannot vouch for them. I just found it while I was searching the web.
