Not sure its a Hauptmünzamt
never seen a maker marked 30 with the extra berry

And I agree with Ronny here to. This badge may or may not be the work of the Hauptmünzamt Wien. And I have never seen a marked '30' with the extra berry either. I know there has been discussion about these badges with the extra berry before. I cannot locate the discussion thread though.

Hi guys,

I just went through all my files and there are several examples with this extra berry so I believe it is not glare, there is definately something there, good eye Ronny. It is round too and perfectly formed on my example, so I do believe it is an extra berry.

Most of the ones I have on file come in Haupt-marked cases, and with the same reverse hardware I think we are looking at Haupt-made badge.

Here is a marked-30 that looks like it may have the extra berry, although it looks weaker than the unmarked examples posted.

Interesting thread.

Does anyone have an marked silver or gold Hauptmünzamt badge with a clear extra berry? Or is this extra berry only seen unmark badges?

I have browsed through some 20 Hauptmünzamt saved badges I have on file and I have only seen this extra berry on an unmarked badge so far.
