A nice artifact from the Winter Olympic Games which took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria from February 6-16 of 1936. This souvenir badge was produced by the firm of Willy Annetsberger of Munich.

I disagree, this piece is not genuine.

There is not a single reference that I could find of this badge being awarded or used. No period photographs, no mentions in any books, nor any documents or advertisement pieces related to production. IMO its a fantasy badge w/ the likes of other enamel badges produced in the 50s-70s that used the names of companies that produced in WW2 such as Carl Poellath and Gustav Bremer.

In fact, after doing extensive research into this badge I could not find a single authentic / approved example anywhere either, nor on any forum, WAF included.

The construction of the pin on the reverse is consistent with this style of other known fake olympic enamel pieces and this particular badge has only popped up on websites that sell fakes and is even photographed with other fakes (see photos below).

      IMO 100% junk.

Here are a number of threads where similar olympic enamels are discussed and dismissed.

Can you please provide proof or reference? Because you keep mentioning it is real but are providing 0 evidence to support the claim.

I await the response of other WAF members.

For what it's worth, I am not keen on it, I've seen them about but only on disreputable dealer's sites. The souvenir badges I know of for both the Summer and Winter Olympics were devoid of swastikas. I've also not seen them worn in period photos.
