    Hitler Youth related tinnies

    Hello,

I finally got the motivation to start this thread,Ive been thinking about it for a while, just never got around to starting it.Im remounting all my HJ tinnies in a display case so since im gonna have them all out i might as well scan them and post them here.If anyone has any HJ tinnies,Id like to see them. These are pressed paper tinnies that I was told are for Hitler Youth sponsered youth hostels.

                        Dear Yancy,

Just a question, isnĀ“t the recangular glass DJ tinnie, really a WHW item of a whole series of runes? I think so because I have the "Leben" Rune equivalent and have seen it in connection with WHW items.

                        Cheers, Frank H.
                        Cheers, Frank

                          WHW

                          Hello Frank,

you are correct that glass one is from a WHW set of germanic symbols, they also made the same set in plastic,I had both complete sets in glass and plastic, but ive sold or traded all but that glass one which I keep with my Hj/Dj tinnies. The other one(plastic trumpet)is a WHW item as well.

Yancy I am glad you started this thread as it may have flushed out a fake Tinnie at last.I have a friend who has a "Reichsport Wettkampf 1939" like the one displayed by Ralph however unlike Ralphs his is made from aluminium not cardboard,my books say they should be card like Ralphs.Has anyone seen one that is not card before? If I remember rightly it has a funny pin as well,I will try and get some photos of it.
