These little WHW jobs were all part of series, given out in return for a donation. They represent the "low" end of the hobby; common as dirt and worth only a buck or two, but they are among my favorite little things. I especially like the zodiac figure and the pirate.

Anyone else got any of these humble little relics?

      another...

note that the terra-cotta figurine above still retains a little of it's original paint job.

      For your pleasure...

Great stuff! I don't think that the WHW items are the "low end" of the collecting area. There are thousands of them and there are some very nice and rare WHW tinnies. A great and really untouched collecting group with I would think little faking being done. Mike

          Dear Ralph,

Actually the terracotta sagittarius doesn´t just retain a small portion of the paint job, it is almost a completely preserved paintjob. The little man was never painted just the symbol for the starsign, here embedded in a "real" bow. That was the chracteristicum of that series, paint only the symbols to make them stand out and see how they are integrated into the whole realistic little sculpture. I had some of those in the past and when I remember it right, different starsigns had different colours on their symbols.

          Cheers, Frank H.

Ralph, remember back a few years ago when all Day and Propaganda Tinnies were considered low end items.

                  Sorry about that.

This will make up for it:

                    Pirate

I am interested to know which region the Pirate came from.

                      Pirate

                      It came from Northern California!

Seriously, though I bought it from a friend in California I don't know from what part of Germany it originated.

Ralph, great Imperial Navy flag tinnie type badge. Was wondering how many of us have Imperial tinnies as well? Or should that thread be in the Imperial section. Great stuff! Mike

                            more WHW

I love these. Way way up there on the all-time faves list. If anyone ever finds any more of these and doesn't want them for his or her collection, I'd be interested in knowing about them.
