So what happened , did you buy in the end ?

would the mayor be like district leader or is that more of a governor type job ??

as from some video footage i have seen with hitler meeting district leaders the collar tabs where more like a big U but wstarting from the bottom right corner as you face the person with something between the U but its in black and white and it doenst get too close to see much detail.

Yes, I've decided to keep the group though it has given me a couple of gray hairs as to authenticity and for being a "real group".

Some new information has surfaced about the controvercial collar tabs wich has almost convinced me - but yet I still would like to see some proof. If they at some point in time prooves to be genuine I am probably the only one having a Ortsleitung Oberabschnittsleiter tunic - hence I thought the risk is worth taking

As for the rank being a mayor I belive the task were quite similiar as to nowadays mayors - of course in occupied territory there must have been additional tasks...but not significent as they were carried out by the Govorment Officials - The Diplomatic Corps I belive. Don't hang me if I'm wrong as I'm not all that stiff in that part of the history - but it sounds logical to me.

Looking at old footage I realized is virtually impossible to recognize such political insignia as most footage is in black and white - hence it's impossible to be 100% sure wich colour the piping and the tab itself has. However there are some good colour footage out there and some discovered a few years back - who knows if I get lucky in the future.
