no need to post your document if it is only an Ausweiss. Although very interesting, probably every W Wi Fu was given a similar set of documents.
I misjudged their importance, and I apologize for thinking your documents were more important than they are.
I have acquired original documents, the actual MerkBlatt (worksheet) for W Wi Fu from 1938 which state:
The W Wi Fus hold the rank of General officers in the Wehrmacht, but don't receive an actual dienstgrade, or salary or compensation as such. They are legally subject to orders as other Officers are. Any complaints they have, can be addressed through the Wehrmacht system of Complaint Orders, which normal soldiers may use.
The document talks about their duties in times of peace and war - and spends a lot of time telling them about how secret their work is, and that they are punishable for treason if they aren't careful about what they are doing. It directs them what to do if they are out of the country for 60 days or more.
It talks about their duty to fight against price-fixing in times of war, and to instead promote the attitude that everyone should pull together in times of War for the National Defense of the Homeland.
In short, they are working hand in glove with the Wehrmacht, part of the Wehrmacht system, following orders, obligated to make sure armaments production run to schedule, under very strict secrecy, planning for Hitler's upcoming war.....
Lastly - and this is very interesting given how little info there is on the subject - The Merkblatt I own states that - Mention of W Wi Fus or their companies is absolutely forbidden, the whole matter is Geheim, a state secret....
This could explain why the whole subject is so shrouded in mystery. It was a crime to list W Wi Fus names, the position itself, or the companies associated with them.
Lastly, the 1938 Fact Sheet for the War Economy Leader that I have states that the Abzeichen for W Wi Fu is for Civil dress only, civilian or formal dress - but is forbidden for wear on Uniform!!
I guess that would mean only the stickpin could be worn - ever. At least in Oktober 1938.
