Gary.... When i inspect, research or share my 13 cents on a subject, then it`s done in the open. There are articles that follow, there are videos to support those articles......
There is, more than just Author Rivett turning up to a WAF thread with his rolling pin. (sans flour, sans butter, sans eggs and sans candles!
) There is a reason why i have not shut my site down completely for only registered members, and still give "hooligans" the chance to read the PDFs if they wish, if i chose to give them links.)There is usually a discussion or two about the findings on my forum, shared with like minded people who are also interested in micro-research, micro-findings, and just in general what a much closer observation reveals. Some of these individuals also have microscopes, and do the same inspections i do. Some of them focus only on one item as i did with the Parteiabzeichen.
And i guess they prefer to keep this detailed and costly research in one place, as WAF has shown, not everyone in the hobby has what it takes to add 2 and 2!
I do it in a cheeky way too, and share the ongoing research as it happens. Live, just like CNN Gary. There is room for input, correction, elaboration... and at the end of the day, there is either a bloody good detailed thread that gets pinned, an article for a collectors mag, a book...... the point, Gary, is, THERE IS SOMETHING! Something that follows. Not just my stupid face turning up on the same threads looking like 12 o`clock half struck, bringing nothing and demanding, ridiculing and stamping feet.
It is your fault alone that i no longer correspond with you through email, as well as your fault that you were booted from my site. I am just doing what i do.. and having fun as well.
Here is a sneak preview of the TeNo Honor Badges in Gold, that i intend to inspect, take apart and expose the ridiculous fake that is in-print and on dealers sites as genuine. It will take time, but sooner or later there will be conclusive results, there always are. The "history" side has already been researched, it is just the individual badges that need to be analyzed. Don`t be a "Jeb" Gary... you`ll only end up having to ask people to clap after you have spoken - which you seem to be doing a lot here on WAF.
I bought the pin in good faith and I listed it for sale in good faith. I am surprised that it is deemed to be a fake and I feel that it is a very good quality one ... I did change my listing as soon as I saw what had been said in this thread and I re-classified it as a fake on my website and lowered the price accordingly and have cut my losses. Not surprisingly, it has sold since then. I have of course no idea what the buyer will do with it now ... Cheers, Torsten.
