Wrong, plain attachment (not really a factor to use in an evaluation as the attachment could have been replaced - but in this case is inherent to the badge/to these fake badges)

When you talk about the badges in the, "25 000 range" you do realize that you are talking about predominantly - F A K E S don't you

Therefore, not surprising that you "think" that this very ugly, very modern fake, "looks original" - considering ....

You really do need a solid basis, for a proper debate. Otherwise you`ll have people who reach conclusions by viewing FAKES that have been deemed good.. without anything to say themselves..... and then passing quick judgment based on what they "think."

That is fair & well for a Facebook group, but when it comes to reality, it will not cut the cake.

If someone doesn't agree, and has fallen in love with low numbered fakes of these, then there is no need to go for the 25669 badge above, as badge number 669 is available right now

Yes the Teno badges and awards..... you know, even with the (over $1000 bucks a pop) honor Teno`s.. collectors seem to be lost. On The War Relics forum, poo gets called original.. the same poo here on waf, gets called fake (which in this case it is) and on dealers sites.. the same poo is readily available for sale as genuine.

and the poster posted what he did, because he is - or was, rather - a dealer shill (for two dealers, 1 in Germany and 1 in Canada.)

The exact same fake (slightly different number but still in the 24×× range) gets called by it`s proper name here on WAF - a Fake!

...and while we are talking about fake stickpins with incredibly low numbers.. lets have a butchers at another low number fake - the same as Torstens fake - that has also sadly been given a thumbs up on the WRF. Images below.

Of interest: On this WRF thread ↓↓↓, NINE small badges/stickpins are shown. Of those NINE badges, THREE are complete fantasy and SIX are modern fakes... wait, sorry, only FIVE are modern fakes - as the low number Teno was given the thumbs up

The fake, No 25251 - in post 8, that was shown on WRF and deemed genuine, originally came from eMedals..

i guess that's why it was deemed good - or maybe there is another reason? In any case, way past my bed time.

Guys, I would make the following suggestion:

Jo Rivett has claimed that various enamel membership badges that the collecting community has believed to be originals for many years, are in fact reproductions using "robo dies" and that we have been all fooled.

Here is a partial list of the enamel badges he has posted as being fake.

1. Teno member's badge.
2. Teno Honor Badge with date.
3. Treuewerk Luftfahrt (aircraft workers) badge, with raised Ges Gesch markings.
4. SS Civil stickpin with raised Hoffstatter/Bonn maker marks.
5. Kinderschar membership badge, with M1/63 marks, plus RZM logo.
6. Frauenshaft circular membership badges with Hoffstatter maker marks

There may be a few I missed, and if so, maybe Jo can add to the list.

This weekend is the SOS Show, the largest at 2000 tables, Third Reich collector's show in the US.

If in fact Jo is correct, all of these fake badges should be readily available. When I say "readily available" I mean that these badges will be on multiple dealer's tables, in multiple numbers.

I cannot be at the SOS show, but I would respectfully request, that WAF members who do attend the show make some kind of mental note to see just how "available" the above enamel membership badge are at the SOS.

If these enamel membership badges are there in quantity, please post your findings. If not available in quantity, please post your findings.

One of the rules of thumb that I use is, "if this badge is a repro, where are all the others?" If the "others" are out there as Jo claims, the SOS would be the place to find them.

Maybe Jo is correct.

Let's see the evidence, if it is there, it should be there at the SOS.
