    need some help

I'm looking over old threads I think I have what appears to be another fake KREISSIEGER badge. Please advise. It is also a BREHMER like the one shown above.

      the black lettering

among other things, the black colored lettering does not match known examples I have seen thus far. This is a dead giveaway correct?

Sorry for my delay in reply, been away for a few days.

I'm afraid that I think it is a fake. One give away is the catch, I've never seen a flatwire or block type catch on a 1938 badge, they are always roundwire, like a coat hanger hook.

          Sorry

There are other things that make this bad. Suggest you all review the points.

It could possible be repaired but I doubt it, I'd just put it down to less than perfect soldering. This is often seen on Aurich Kreissiegers, perhaps they had problems attaching the catches, they also used flatwire catches on these badges which may be a clue that they had to change them.

I have no worries about either of these two badges Xen, there are distict points present that I would look for in an original Aurich badge.

                      Cheers
                      Don
