A collector friend of mine has this DLV badge and is considering selling. I like the looks of it, but do not know much about them or the values. Can anybody help me out on them?

The real versions of these came both painted and enamel and are very impressive looking badges...I have quite a few of them...they came in hat badge, stickpin, and lapel-hole versions...as well as a type that is about 7 inches long, probably going on a plaque. Here is a picture of some of the pieces I have:Attached Files

Jeff,
Not as rare as you may think, nor indeed that expensive, Cone lists the nickel version as common. One turned up on estand before Christmas for about $70 I think, but you do find them for less sometimes.
