There's nothing 'little' about your Gau line-up.
Very few collections can rival the quality of material shown above.
Top shelf items that are so rare most won't even know they exist.
If you ever get bored with Nr.54- let me know. I'll keep its spot reserved.
Something I stumbled upon that might be of interest to members here: According to Dr. Doehle- Notwithstanding the conferral of Gau awards by Gauleiters in their respective districts, each and every bestowal had to be approved by Hitler himself as well.
Have to say that I can't think of too many other, non-combat decorations, that were subject to the same stringent stipulations. Typically, low membership number, length of service, partaking in an event or even early association with the Party were enough to receive most NSDAP Honor Decorations.
In the case of Gau Honor Awards all that meant nothing without the nod from AH on top.
So we are saying all these badges are originals ?....because the gold Gau Essen badge is undeniably the same as the Gau Essen badge I recently posted which was roundly put down in certain quarters
Matthew
I would very much like your opinion on the gold Gau Essen badge because a couple of weeks ago you told me that my Gau Essen badge of the same design was a fake/copy
...What....Very few collections can rival the quality of the material shown above ...your quote and now I've pointed it out all of a sudden Bobs is a fake .....
There's nothing sudden about your 'discovery'. Bob has known my position on those for a while now.
As far as my statement of rarity of his Gau Collection- Bob's Gau Wartheland is one of only three known. Worldwide.
