Verifiable totals of Reichssieger badges awarded were established for all relevant years except 1936 but we do know how many were at the finals that year so we have a rough idea of how many badges were awarded. We hope to find a verifiable figure for 1936 at some point.
Gary, thats what we all should be looking for, verifiable, researched answers - with the period source for future reference, and not just a copied and pasted figure you found on Google with no reference.
This is why we are where we are today, because of copy & paste enthusiasts.
The HJ forum is a pleasure for researchers, they are not simply confronted with stolen figures, but in most cases there will be a source attached, or a pointer to a period reference where the info comes from. It is so frustrating to try and research "something" only to be forced to wade through multiple goofy opinions and figures, with zero period reference! The whole point about footnotes/sources/references, is so that the interested individual can proceed with his own research - in the right direction - and because of the period pointer, knows where to start.

Many thanks Gary.
Very impressive and very good research.
I am wondering if there are also numbers know for the Kreis- and Gausieger badges besides 1939?
Reason for asking these numbers is that after years of searching and missing out on several deals and bids I final managed to acquire the very rare 1944 Reichssieger badge in mint condition.
Looking at your site I see that only 373 were awarded. I imagine that the total number of produced badges is higher but still a very rare badge.
