Did The 2nd Class Have Swords with the First type Eagles????

Are the eagles gold plated??? This looks like the first type awards of the Eagle Order With early eagles but didn't the swords come out until 1939 with different eagles ??? Go check your home work !!!

cej The first German Eagle Orders is on manufactured and delivered to civilian and military personnel without swords but when in 1939 Adolf Hitler commands create the order of the Eagle with swords for all grades, many soldiers who had received the order version 1937-1939 commissioned the addition of swords in their badges. Cases tested in Spain and other countries are countless. The swords were purchased from Godet and added in jewelry shops specializing in military medals. The order with swords of 37 see here is 100% original and swords were added during the time of the conflict and not on current dates.

Another example. This is a 1937 regulations 3Rd Eagle Order with swords, is a piece of my German Eagle Order Collection and was purchased from the family of the General Spanish D. José López-Barrón Cerruti was the Blue Division Commander who received this award which added swords commissioned in 1939 following the decision of Adolf Hitler adopted the swords in the order of the German Eagle:

Great piece of Commander López-Barrón, highly respected and loved by his peers and subordinates on the Russian front.
Thanks for showing, other examples of regulation 37 crosses with swords!

                      Congratulations

The original 1937 design was redesigned in 1939, among other reasons, by the need to add a booster on the orders of 1st and 3rd class in the ring since were taking place desoldering problems.

Therefore, it was decided to add a fan at the top of these categories.

With the addition of this fan, the design of the Eagles, the width of the outer frame, markings and other details is also changed.

There is a list of granted total awards although if there is a list of awards given to Spaniards as the user of this forum aenobarbo and I are putting together through research.

There is a list of [ GRAND TOTAL AWARDS ?]

I have never seen a list of Grand Total Awards of the Eagle Orders in any reference book. Did they break them down by Country ????

I understand your interest for Spain but it would be a great thing if you could post the Grand Total of awards !!!

It is an almost impossible task since most of the files that were kept on decorated with this order were kept at the Foreign Ministry and were completely destroyed. There were copies of the awards in the German embassies and much of the concessions to Spaniards we see today on sale come from documents recovered from those embassies.

The only list I know on recipients of the order of the German Eagle is that we are creating Aenobarbo and I.

It would be concerned that someone will take care of the winners from other countries and we were passing the data to add to the list. That way we would create step by step a list more comprehensive.

Here you can see a screenshot of the list we have on award-winning Spanish:
