In my opinion the order is marked by Descherl, the "1" has all the typical features of Deschelr…

How you can say that is a wrong Godet mark?

The "1" is vertical, it t is bigger than the Godet one and there isn't enough place for the "2"

Something wrong with my English? A typical Deschler "1", perhaps, but the rest of the cross is consistent with the features of a Godet cross. Is this "1" the reason you're trying sell this cross as a Deschler, although you've never seen one before?

"1" indicates that it is a first class of the order of the German Eagle. It is not a mark of manufacturer number

The cross is a typical GODET not a Deschler. Peter J is right on this.

Andrea, you shouldn't collect via proxy. The info you need about this cross is available on multiple locations, all you need to do is to look for it. Either way, it's a nice looking Godet set.

                cheers
                Peter

Far as we know, the only recognized and proven manufacturer who manufactured the crosses of the order of the German Eagle was Godet & Co. (maker mark 21)

There are several opinions that ensures that the first orders of the Eagle, which were produced in the period 1937-1939 were manufactured by Deschler and notable differences in the design of the Eagles, rings and markings among other things can be checked but there is no official document confirming this theory, although I'm one of those who think that it is true but in any casethe orders of the Eagle which were allegedly manufactured by Deschler are those of 1937 which, among other details, lacked fan.

Man I previously wrote Deschler.. the cross is for sale from the end of May…..

Descherl or not the price I'm asking is not higher than the other crosses like mine..

However the "1" mark (Descherl or something else) is a particularity of this cross.

The sale thread is linked to this discussion.
