Helmut Weitze has one for 60 Euro at the moment.

        Cheers

          Marc & Don,
Personally, I think 60 euro is a very reasonable price. The stamped version you show should be worth considerably more than the solid. Just my opinion.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but I thought it worthwhile since I could not find a reference anywhere.

I came across this special edition of the Münchner Zeitung reporting about the 1. Gebietstreffen der Hitlerjugend "Hochland" in Munich from August 19 through 21, 1933. Shows this well known tinnie as the event badge.

What a great find! Thanks for sharing this! By any chance does the article discuss if the event was somehow tying the Hitler Youth to the Putsch?

I spent most day yesterday going through my limited library of contemporary accounts of events in 1933 to locate the source of the "Und ihr habt doch gesiegt!" slogan. Got lucky with volume 2 of Dokumente des Dritten Reiches, Die Sammlung Rehse, published by Dr. Adolf Drexler:

After the raise to power in Bavaria on the 9th of March, Hitler came to visit on the 12th. He headed straight for the Feldherrnhalle, to lay a huge laurel wreath with a sash with those particular words on it.

Same event / inscription also mentioned in Gerd Rühle's Das Dritte Reich, Das erste Jahr 1933.

Only a few weeks later, Röhm layed another wreath (@ 1:17, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7Pfwbpq1kg). I can imagine Hitler's would have looked very similar.

Could very well be a quote coined for the tenth aniversary.

Finally got to reading the pamphlet. As Hitler and Röhm earlier in 1933, 14 HJ boys placed another huge laurel wreath with the "Und Ihr habt doch gesiegt" slogan at the Feldherrnhalle on Saturday, August 19th 1933.

Here is a picture of the wreath on the steps of the Feldherrnhalle.

                            Hi All,

Like most of the prices from Weitze, I find 60 Euros a bit expensive, specially when in places like Militaria321 (*), you could see it (sometimes)for half of it. Recently one was sold for 35 Euros. I have two of them, this one and the solid version, and never paid more than 45 Euro for any of them.

Michael Dick has also 3 for the same price. Still, I think it is a bit expensive.

                            Best Regards

(*) OF course, you have to be also careful in this place.

Thought I would bring this old thread back up. Here is the edition of the VB showing Emil Klein and Wagner at the1933 Munich HJ rally that these tinnies were awarded or sold. A great tinnie design IMO.

And oh yeah, a nice shot of the Coburg badge on Kleins brown shirt.

Thanks, Erich -- a great cover, and that looks like von Schirach standing behind Klein, too.

                                Cheers,
