    Yes that's what the other one that I had seen looked like. An unusual pin for a "tinnie," but in my humble experience I've seen several different types of pins and attachments on these 1933 badges. They got it down to a neater system after that, I guess.

          The 1933 badge is also by Balmberger. They must have just about cornered the market on badges for the local Nürnberg events.

            Is the 1939 badge any rarer because the Rally was not actually held that year (on account of the war starting)?

                Good point. I would think you are right. Now that you mention it, you don't see quite as many 1939's. The market premium isn't all that much higher though on these.
