I've never held an SA stickpin, but the fact that the pin has the spiraled shaft is a good start

The NSDAP badges seems alright to me, I'm not sure about the number on it as I am not at my resource to check such things, but the RZM mark is correct and the stipling is nice, and the letters all look correct. Take a close look at the white portion for TINY black flecks. Era pieces were glazed glass, which during the firing process developed these tiny black flecks. Modern day repros are made with plastic and do not have them. They are very tiny, so using a magnifying glass if you have it

As for HJ badges, I have minimal experience with them, I don't really like the HJ, but the stipling looks nice. Need clearer rear pics. Also, look for the black flecks on this piece as well

As for real, if they are I believe the stickpin fetches around 25 bucks, HJ badges fetch around 45, and membership badges fetch 45-65 (I got lucky and got mine for 26 at a local antique store I worked and sold at part time ). I might be interested in the membership badge if it is indeed original.

Thank you Brig for taking time!
I'll post some better pics later tonight and look at them with a magnifying glass..

You got the first shot at the party pin if original, to a fair price.
          Best regards!

Your pins look fine, the problem with your pictures is your camera is focusing on the cloth instead of the pin.

                          Brig,

Does this apply to all period white enamel on badges & medals or does it only apply to membership pins?

                          Cheers

I'd assume all, as plastic was not used in enameling back then, glass was used...

I suppose any era enameled piece that has a good bit of white on it this would apply to...

here's a site on NSDAP badges, BTW

                              Thanks Brig,

I suppose the next logical question is, does anyone know when glass discontinued in enamel production? e.g. was plasitc used in the fakes produced in the '70's?

I tried the web address but the link didn't seem to work. Cheers anyway.

                              Regards
