A very nice badge with a custom attachment. I have never seen a 30mm with a chain attachment before making it very unique. IMO the value would be around 2K.

Thank you guys for the opinions and advice!! I have never seen one either but recently purchased a small one with same type of chain attached? I guess since i cant afford a matching number set i might could afford a matching chain set (somewhat)

In these researched papers this guy lost his small one and applied or ordered another and had a jeweler attach a chain. I have about 7 pages of info on this guy but have no idea what they say. If anyone could help me out i could send scanned copies to an email for a brief description???

This was a letter from the Gau Thuringia Treasury to the Reich Treasury concerning the Reich Treasury's request of 17 Feb 1942 for the return of the small and large GPBs of Pg Schoss as well as his membership book and Besitzurkunde after Pg. Schoss untimely death in an accident. The Gau Treasurer replied that the requested material was lost in the crash.

Your GPB owner died either in late 1941 or early 1942 in a crash. Car?

I'd see that at the ripoff side of Stephen's zone.

                      Thanks,

I think he means it falls at the upper end of prices on my personal scale between "bargain and rip off" - not a comment about me or my site.

That is one of the reasons English is one of the hardest languages to master - lots of subtlety.

John, der-hase-fee meant that the $2k value was on the rip-off (high end) side of the price zone Stephen established in his comments at post #13 and #15. He wasn't commenting about Stephen's GPB site.

Was simply concerned about any potential adverse comments about my friend.

I have tried looking at that GPB site and its down?? I looked at it about 4-5 days ago. What i was trying to find out is a 4 touching at the top ok in some variations but not in others or should a 4 never touch at the top??

Can anybody explain to me? Thanks guys for all the help!!

It depends. On some it does and yet on other variances, it does not.

For examples, see the below 4 attachments.
