You see a clown with an accordion and a lot of words part of a popular son in

the Cologne area) on it.

Hello Doug, perhaps for certain Festival/ minor occassions & Kries level NSDAP events this could certainly be the case. However for the more Important events such as the Nurberg rallies & Gau level meetings, I would imagine that the Gold, Silver, Bronze versions were issued to represent the wearer's rank/political or social standing. Some of the NSDAP Meetings/events that were held and ran two consecutive days often had Gold, Silver & Bronze versions of the tinnies. Here are two examples of the Silver & Gold for a Kreis level NSDAP meeting at Stade. There will be a bronze example, however these are quite scarce to find and the chances of me locating the bronze is remote
