there is a lot of M1/72 and M1/73 Daf pins - it's difficult to say they are good or fake..
This one cost 1000 euro and i guess it's to pale to be true

What worries me with these M1/34's is that there have been a very large number of mint ones on the market in the last year with big name dealers. These all have the same trait, odd crimping on the pin plate which is not so usual on period pieces.

                      The others look ok though.

                      Cheers
                      Don

Yes it's true - that dealer has 5 or so - that's one of them.
I have a pic of M1/102 to compare (i'm going to buy this one too) I remember Scot C has a red one
                        M1/54 and the pin wasn't round/horizontal either..
The back looks more usual, but front i would say pretty same...?
But you have more experience with these ... Propably i'll send it back to dealer.

So others (yelow and red) looks ok? I'm kinda confused: too bright , too pale I saw many of blue and red frauenschaft with that "rusty"letters - kinda wierd to me..
I will post new thread tonight with M1/18 questions

Going from the image you posted the M1/102 looks fine to me.

The yellow DAF M1/72 I feel is bad.

The Frau' M1/73's are somewhat controversial. Some feel that they are bad, some feel that they are good. Unfortunately there isn't much evidence either way so you have to make your own mind up with them. I have them in my collection & will keep them there until I find proof that they are bad, they are extremely well made.

                          Cheers

Thanks jnoble. Like i said before i'm going to send it back to the dealer (do i have to give them a reason?)
Here is another one with "unusual" back, but different marker and pin plate is wider?
